Marchi Terminal s.r.l. is a company of the Neri
Group, active in the Shipping business since 1900.
Marchi was founded in the early seventies and from that time act as Terminal
Operator in the Port of Livorno, offering a complete rage of services for all
kind of Ships and cargoes.
The development strategies have recently oriented Marchi Terminal
toward a high specialization in the handling of forest products, rapidly
achieving operative, quality and commercial standards that make Marchi one of
the leading Terminal Operators of the Tirrenian Sea.
Through a close partnership with Neri Spau Marchi Terminal have
developed profitable synergies with the other companies of the Group, raching
the best employment of human and structural resources in order to offer the best
service to Clients.
Technical details
- Terminal area 30,000 sqm
- One warehouse of 5,000 sqm / 32,500 cbm entirely made by concrete and
divided by 6 cells from 500 to 1,200 sqm, which allows storing of
incompatible cargoes. Storing capacity about 18,000 tons of forest product.
- One warehouse of 9,120 sqm / 87,500 cbm (built 1998) entirely projected
for the warehousing of forest products. Made by concrete with quartz floor,
has an operative high of 10 meters and a storing capacity of about 35,000
tons of forest products.
- 2 rail-tracks of 250 meters each located adjacent to the warehouse.
- 30 fork-lifts with capacity from 2,5 to 8 tons.
- Equipment for the handling of pulp in bales and reels KLB rolls, lumber,
plyhood, tissue rols etc.
- Work-shop for forkl-ifts and equipment maintenance, which is carried out
by Terminal personnel.
- 2 mobile-cranes for handling of break-bulk cargoes and containers
- 2 cleaning machines
